Note - in the background of some of these photos you can see the old logs from 1822 still visible on three of the interior walls of the old meeting house at Rush Creek.

Elder Eugene Blevins. Brother Eugene has faithfully and ably served Rush Creek as Pastor for nearly 40 years. Elder J. C. Hager was the first to call Brother Eugene "the Ambassador" in reference to Ephesians 6:19-20 "19 ¶ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." Truly the appellation "Ambassador" fits Brother Eugene.

Elder Billy Cook and Sister Bonnie Cook. Brother Billy and Sister Bonnie faithfully served the Church at Rush Creek for many years, Brother Billy is retained as a Pastor in honor of his dedicated service. They recently moved to Frederick, Maryland and their membership is now with the Church at Old Carroll. Though seperated by many miles now they both remain as near and dear to our hearts as ever.

Elder Curt Heath. Brother Curt has served the Church as Pastor for over 20 years and has proven to be a most valuable member, always seeing to it that things that need taken care of get taken care of. When the Good Lord blesses Brother Curt he is blessed with a wonderful gift to deliver the gospel and to proclaim the truth as it is in Christ Jesus.

Deacon Gene Malcolm and Sister Frankie Malcolm. Certainly two pillars of the old Church. Brother Gene currently serves as Treasurer and as Assistant Clerk and both are always attentive to the needs of the Church and it's members. I don't know how we could get along without what the good Lord has blessed them with.

Some of the Elders present at the 175th anniversary meeting at Rush are captured in this photograph. From left to right, Elders Bob Mayhorn, Arnold Childress, Curt Heath, Jimmie Lee Smith, Billy Cook, J.C. Hager. Thanks to Brother Timmy Smith for this photograph.

Deacon Blaine Owens. There is an old saying "last but not least". In this case it is "last and the very least". Here I stand with the old log walls of the meeting house in the background. I thought it would be important to include a picture of myself because you have to include a picture of at least one ugly person to prove that you are indeed a true old line Primitive Baptist Church :-)
